"My name is Tom Baconrind, El Dorado, KS, and would like to offer this opinion to anyone who is considering purchasing meats from Satchel Creek. My wife is very fond of filet steaks and we have been purchasing them from another source in Omaha. We purchased the S.C. filets in December at the wine and meat tasting event in Wichita. We took them home and froze them for later consumption. The first week in January, I took out two filets and thawed them in cold water for about three hours and then put them on the grill. I cooked them just perfectly, according to the wife, and they nearly came apart due to the tenderness. I have NEVER had a better filet and usually the wife doesn't eat the entire steak but she did this time. Couldn't put it down and save it for the next day because it so good, we both finished them. I truely believe these filets are better than any 5-star restaurant quality.
